Westbury Cross House, Westbury-sub-Mendip
Westbury Cross House is a 17th century farmhouse that has had a recent comprehensive restoration. We have five rooms that have been tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard, each with ensuite. The rooms are in converted barns attached to the main house, with their own access.
Some of the bedrooms are located in the Old Apple Loft, where the cider apples were stored from the farm orchards. This opens onto a charming circular courtyard. The guest garden beyond has been landscaped into 2 terraces with plenty of seating and surrounded with well stocked flowerbeds. |
Located in the heart of Somerset close to the cities of Wells, Bristol and Bath and very conveniently located for the attractions of Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury, Clark’s Village, Longleat and the Mendip Hills, the accommodation will appeal to those interested in walking, cycling, sightseeing, shopping and the many cultural and historical attractions of the region. |
Rachel and Robert offer a warm welcome to their guests and have prided themselves in providing a standard of luxury and modern style in the rooms each of which has wifi and tv, original art on the walls and high quality bedding and furniture. A home-from-home experience has been the aim and the guest rooms are accessed separately from the family’s main house allowing a degree of independence. The village shop opposite opens 7 days a week and the village pub is only a short walk from the property. |
